After suffering a catastrophic ACL tear over a year ago, Leyla Hirsch is nearing her AEW return.
The incredibly talented 26 year old suffered the injury in a match on AEW Dark: Elevation, quickly undergoing surgery for the injury soon after.
Fightful Select have now reported over a year later that Hirsch is nearing a return to the ring.
Fightful had reported recently that we’d heard that Hirsch was in the ring preparing for a return. Prior to her injury, Hirsch had been receiving a bit of a push, having competed in a World Title Eliminator on Dynamite, defeating Kris Statlander at AEW Revolution 2022, and going 9-2 for the year in singles competition. She had worked a half dozen matches on TV in addition to Dark and Elevation.

We will have to wait and see when Hirsch will return to AEW television but it appears that her recovery is almost complete.
