It appears the upcoming AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door 2 event in Toronto will be getting a highly anticipated dream match. At today’s NJPW Dominion event, Daniel Bryan appeared on the big screen and challenged Kazuchika Okada to a one on one match.
It all occurred following a successful NEVER Openweight Six Man Title defense by Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii as they defeated Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Shota Umino. After the match, Moxley took a microphone and said he had a message from the best wrestler in world.
Daniel Bryan appeared on the big screen via a taped video and challenged Okada to the match. Okada responded by saying the Forbidden Door would be open, which was an indication that he will be accepting the match.
Forbidden Door 2 is scheduled for June 25th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
