Jon Moxley Says He Has Plans and Will Be Back in NJPW Whenever The F*%# He Wants
Jon Moxley has teased his intent to return to the land of the orient and compete for NJPW again.
Moxley competed at NJPW Dominion, where he, Claudio Castagnoli, and Shota Umino unsuccessfully challenged Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii for the NEVER Openweight Championship. The match marked Moxley’s first time wrestling in Japan since 2020, though he has competed at NJPW shows in the United States.
In a backstage interview after his match at NJPW Dominion, Moxley pointed out that it had been a while since he had been in Japan, and a lot had happened since his previous trip. He made it clear that he was happy to be back, as fighting spirit is appreciated in Japan. Moxley stated that the magical combination of blood, sweat, will, and guts is a powerful drug. He then stated that he has plans, he has a resident card, and he’ll come back whenever he wants.
Moxley also commented on his team’s loss in the match. He congratulated Okada for beating a “14-year-old” in Umino before he stated that he doesn’t have time for Okada, Ishii, or Tanahashi. Moxley then referenced Bryan Danielson challenging Okada to a match. He noted that Danielson may want to teach Okada something, but he doesn’t feel that drive.
