B.J. Whitmer Terminated By AEW After Arrest For Burglary And Strangulation
A producer from AEW has been let go after being arrested for Domestic Violence.
B.J. Whitmer was arrested on the evening of June 4 by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department in Boone County, Kentucky. Whitmer has been charged with strangulation in the first degree and burglary in the second degree. This has of course cast a dark cloud over AEW and the company have not took long in responding.
In a Tweet made by the official Twitter account of AEW, the company confirmed that Whitmer has been let go by the company following the arrest.
B.J. Whitmer has been terminated following his arrest on domestic violence charges. While talent and staff are ultimately responsible for their own personal actions, this behavior is intolerable within AEW. AEW has reached out to offer support to those impacted by his behavior.

A bond of $25,000 was set. He was released on June 12, 2023.
Whitmer previously worked with Ring Of Honor before finding a home as a producer for AEW.
