The current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion, Willow Nightingale has been called out by STARDOM star Giulia.
The challenge made to Willow Nightingale by Giulia occurred at STARDOM’s Sunshine event on June 25th. After Giulia, Mai Sakurai and Thelka successfully defended their Artist of STARDOM titles at the event, Giulia took the microphone and called out Nightingale.
Giulia continued to challenge Nightingale during a backstage segment and made this comment:
“It’s a NEW JAPAN belt, isn’t it? Don’t you have to defend yourself in Japan?”
While STARDOM is not involved with tonight’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 event, AEW president Tony Khan had indicated his desire to work with STARDOM talent during a pre-Forbidden Door media call.
As of this writing, the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion has not yet responded to the challenge made by Giulia.
