AEW had already gotten rid of BJ Whitmer before the news had broken online.
BJ Whitmer was let go by the promotion after strangling a woman and charged for it. Whitmer was also charged with burglary.
Fightful Select now reports that Whitmer was already fired before the news broke online.
After BJ Whitmer’s abhorrent actions that led to a domestic violence arrest, he was fired by AEW. We were told by sources close to the situation that he’d actually been fired before the report even hit the internet, as he’d been in jail the week prior.

Whitmer will likely not work in wrestling again, and that is a good thing for any abuse victims involved in the sport.
