Yota Tsuji Withdraws From NJPW’s The Reiwa Three Musketeers
Earlier today, NJPW announced that it had named Shota Umino, Yota Tsuji and Ren Narita as the Reiwa Three Musketeers as they have quickly ascended the ranks of NJPW and are destined to be major stars for the promotion.
Despite being a great distinction, Yota Tsuji immediately withdrew his name from the group stating his disdain for being treated on the same level as Umino and Narita.
On Twitter, Yota Tsuji referred to Shota Umino as a “Moxley’s mama’s boy” and Ren Narita a “Shibata impersonator”.
Yota Tsuji also made these comments regarding the Three Musketeers name which was given to Masahiro Chono, Shinya Hashimoto and Keiji Muto in 1988 and Hiroshi Tanahashi, Shinsuke Nakamura and Katsuyori Shibata in 2004:
“To be honest, I’m not convinced at all, and I don’t understand how long I’ve been clinging to the past, and I don’t have respect for them (the Three Musketeers). All of you have left the new Japan, so I wonder how you still stick to the Three Musketeers. I guess the company named it on purpose in the first place.”
Yota Tsuji took it upon himself to name United Empire’s Great-O-Khan as his replacement. There has been no official word from NJPW concerning this development.
