Kota Ibushi is set to have his first match in Japan since suffering a shoulder injury back in October 2021 at the G1 Climax against Kazuchika Okada.
At today’s GLEAT show, a video package was played announcing that Kota Ibushi is on his way to the promotion on August 4th in Japan.
Kota Ibushi commented on twitter regarding his upcoming GLEAT appearance:
The first return to professional wrestling in Japan is the GLEAT Ryogoku Kokugikan Tournament! It’s going to be crazy. There are still many things to do, and there is a possibility that summer will be amazing!
As of this writing, an opponent for Ibushi has not yet been named.
Kota Ibushi’s last match was against Joey Janela at Spring Break 7 on March 31st in Los Angeles, California.
