On Friday’s SmackDown, Charlotte Flair competed in singles action with Ms Money In The Bank, IYO SKY.
In the matchup, Bayley would be on commentary and Charlotte would end up picking up the victory over SKY after Bayley left the ringside area after more taunting from Shotzi on the titantron.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the Charlotte Flair vs IYO Sky match on SmackDown was not supposed to take place and that it was thrown together at the last minute due to COVID related issues.
That match was thrown together at the end. There were a couple of people who were scheduled for the show who did not appear for, in some cases, for COVID-related reasons. Maybe not had COVID, but they were around it, so COVID reasons, and the show was changed. Charlotte and IYO Sky was a late replacement, because that was not the original plan.

Charlotte is looking to build momentum as we get closer to SummerSlam after it was announced she will challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam in a triple threat match with champion Asuka and Bianca Belair.
