Kurt Angle says WWE took advantage of Kane.
Speaking about Kane on the most recent episode of his podcast, The Kurt Angle Show, Angle said that Kane was too nice and WWE took advantage of the Big Red Machine during his run in the company.
“I didn’t hang out with Glenn that often. He was a really nice guy. You can’t say a bad thing about him. Nobody could. He was like the perfect employee,” he said. “He never got in trouble or anything. He did everything he was told to do. He worked his ass off. I think he was a little too nice. The company kind of took advantage of him. He had a lot more losses than he did wins, and he was a dominant character.
“He was one of those guys that was in the main event that really made other wrestlers,” Kurt adds. “When you’re going up through the ranks, you had to go through Kane. When you beat Kane, that was a big plus on your shoulder and you could continue on knowing that you’re a bigger star after you defeated Kane. He was one of the obstacles you had to go through to get to the main event.”

Kane was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021 and is currently the mayor of Knox County.
