The Slammiversary PPV numbers are in, at least some of them.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that:

“Impact Slammiversary did more than 4,400 PPV buys on television which for them is outstanding. That’s up from less than 1,300 last year, actually up 248.8 percent even though television PPV over the last year has only gone down. Even though it’s a relatively small number people have been asking what they are doing for this increase. It’s the best number they’ve done since the period they had Kenny Omega as champion, so it shows that the increase in ratings of late is also leading to an increase in buyers. In fact, if you figure in streaming numbers, which these days are probably triple television, the show probably beat a lot of the Dixie Carter shows when they were on Spike at the end and doing around 8,000 to 10,000 buys with more than a million TV viewers.”

For reference, without listing specific numbers, Dave Meltzer mentions in the May 10, 2021 Wrestling Observer Newsletter:

“Last year (2020) when WWE made cuts, they built Slammiversary around teasing which WWE stars would be debuting and did their best PPV number in several years (it was since broken with Rebellion)”

The Rebellion 2021 PPV that he is referencing as being the “since being broken with Rebellion” are the highest PPV Numbers in recent history, which had a Main Event of AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega, versus IMPACT World Champion, Rich Swann in a Title versus Title match.

Slammiversary 2023 was headlined by IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley defending his title against Nick Aldis, IMPACT Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo defending her title against Trinity (Fatu), and the surprise return of Eric Young.

These numbers are traditional PPV buys and likely do NOT include Fite TV PPV buys as well.

These are fantastic numbers for the company who has also scheduled a good number of additional live events this year compared to previous years.
