Moments ago, IMPACT Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to announce a 4-team tag team tournament that will kick off this week to crown #1 contenders to the Tag Team Titles. The winning team will receive their tittle shot against Sunculture at the LIVE Emergence event on 8/27.

This week, the tournament kicks off with The Rascalz taking on the team of Mike Bailey & Jonathan Gresham in a first round bout. The other two teams in the tournament are Rich Swann & Sami Callihan and ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin).

The Rascalz have been a thorn in the side of ABC since they reunited and were left out of the Tag Team Title match at Slammiversary, inadvertently helping Subculture win the match. Zachary Wentz defeated Chris Bey leading up to that.

The Rascalz then cost ABC their contractual rematch for the titles as well, with Wentz distracting the referee and Trey Miguel attacking Ace Austin on the outside.

Zachary Wentz defeated Mike Bailey last week in an unadvertised match on the 7/27 episode of IMPACTonAXSTV.
