Reason Why Certain Matches Have Been Left Off SummerSlam 2023
We now have an explanation as to why some matches have been left off SummerSlam 2023.
As we near the biggest party of the summer, fans have noted several matches that could have and in some cases, should have been part of the show. These include several women’s stars, as Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus, which seemed like a slam dunk for the card was pushed back to a RAW in Winnipeg later this month.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Raquel Rodriguez’ match against Rhea Ripley might still be added to the SummerSlam card, but WWE are working with a hard limit on time.
They could clear her and add it on the day of the show, but I will say that there is a time constraint. I was told that was part of the reason why some of these matches that were originally part of the show are off is because they have a time limit on the show, which I’m gonna guess is 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

We will have to wait and see if WWE will decide to add Raquel Rodriguez vs Rhea Ripley to the show, but for now at least, they may have to wait for a later date.
