Brian Myers is in line for another IMPACT World Title shot tonight at IMPACTonAXSTV. This will be Myers third shot at the prized title.
Myers had had two previous IMPACT World Title shot – the first in August 2020 when he debuted with the company and answered Eddie Edwards World Title Open Challenge, and again almost exactly a year later at Emergence 2021 when he took on former IMPACT World Champion, Christian.
In an interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Myers expressed his desire to win the IMPACT World Championship. He stated that no one can match what he has done for the company since he arrived.
“I think [the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship is] mine for the taking,” Myers said. “I’ve worked my ass off for the past three years, I don’t think there’s anyone who can say they’ve done what I’ve done in IMPACT in the past three years.”
‘I’ve been the workhorse and backbone of this company for three years, I’ve done everything that’s asked of me to the best of my abilities at the highest level, never disappointed, never missed a beat, represented the company at the highest levels.”
Brian Myers signed a contract extension with IMPACT Wrestling in December 2022 which sees him staying put through 2023. Myers told Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated that the contract extension “was an easy decision” for him. He also spoke more about his world title goals and said he wants to prove he’s the total package.
“Hands down, my goal is to become the IMPACT Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. I’ve been an absolute workhorse for IMPACT Wrestling, and I truly believe this is my time,” he said. “I have my eyes set on Josh Alexander [then the current titleholder]. We’ve been wrestling for years, but this is our chance to do it on IMPACT’s grandest stage. I am ultimately going to be everything IMPACT wishes he was. I’m the complete package, and I’m going to prove that.”

Myers has had many roles during his time with IMPACT, including tagging with his best friend Matt Cardona as the Major Players, forming the Learning Tree – which he used to attempt to train inexperienced wrestlers, being a former IMPACT Digital Media Champion, and most recently forming “The Most Professional Wrestling Gods” with Moose and going after the IMPACT Tag Team Titles.
This is different, though. This is another chance for Myers to prove himself in singles action. Aside from the Digital Media Title, Brian hasn’t carried any IMPACT singles gold since he’s been with the company.
