Colby Corino Wins The NWA Jr Heavyweight Championship At NWA 75, Will Defend Against Jack Cartwheel On Night 2
Colby Corino has won his first major title in the NWA as he defeated Kerry Morton on August 26th to become the new NWA Jr Heavyweight Champion.
Corino defeated Kerry Morton after the two had a highly competitive match in St. Louis at Chase’s Khorassan Ballroom at NWA 75 Night 1.
Throughout 2022, Corino unsuccessfully challenged for the NWA Jr Heavyweight Title on numerous occasions. He finally won the title that had eluded him for over a year.
There is no time to celebrate for Corino as his first defense comes on August 27th at Night 2 of NWA 75 as he will be challenged by indy sensation Jack Cartwheel. Cartwheel defeated Alex Taylor, Eric Jackson, Koa Laxamana, and Matt Vine in a Jubilee Jamboree match for an NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship opportunity.
