Knockouts World Champion, Trinity, Praises IMPACT Wrestling: “I’m So Happy And In Such A Good Place”
On top of being the current IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion, Trinity is the only person who was able to submit Deonna Purrazzo not just once, but twice.
Muscle Man Malcolm recently interviewed Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Champion Trinity. Some of the highlights are transcribed below. Scroll down for the entire interview.
Trinity on working in IMPACT Wrestling:
“I’m so happy and I’m in such a good place. I feel that I’m getting these incredible opportunities and I’m working through them week by week. I feel that my confidence is growing and I’m improving. I’m really excited and feel very fulfilled and rewarding, getting all these different matchups. I think it’s helping me grow better as a wrestler, as a performer, as a competitor having so many different opponents here in IMPACT and learning everyone’s different styles. It’s really been an incredible journey and also to just be away from all that I’ve known in this wrestling world in the way I came in and to just be in something just so different, away from my husband away from, you know, my other friends and support systems. It’s been an incredible journey of growth for me and I’m very happy about it.”
On her relationship with IMPACT Wrestling:
“I think it’s a very trusting relationship and I feel heard. I feel valued. I feel seen. I feel respected and I’m very thankful for that.”
On her family’s reaction to her joining IMPACT Wrestling:
“Everyone’s happy for me, but initially, it was like a shock to everyone. I’m where I am because of where I am, but never did we think, you know, I wouldn’t be with my family. You know what I mean? But I think this is what it takes and where I am and I’m happy with it. I think the good with this entire situation, the good is finally starting to outweigh the bad. I’m grateful. I’m happy.”

Trinity debuted with IMPACT Wrestling in April at their Chicago TV tapings, and she first debuted on screen for their weekly 5/4 episode of IMPACT onAXSTV with a live microphone where she addressed the fans and live crowd for the first time in over a year. She put the whole Knockouts division over as some of the best ever, but also put them and the Knockouts World Champion – Deonna Purrazzo – on notice as well. Trinity made it crystal clear that her main objective is the Knockouts World Title.
Two weeks later on the 5/18 episode, Trinity took on and defeated KiLynn King for her in-ring debut with IMPACT. Trinity has been undefeated since that point, having also defeated Gisele Shaw & Savannah Evans, both in singles matches and as a team with Deonna Purrazzo.
Trinity got to the top of the mountain and at Slammiversary, joined a very prestigious group of women in the history of this company, and the business as a whole, when she tapped out Deonna Purrazzo at Slammiversary to become IMPACT Knockouts World Champion. Trinity now sits on top of what is arguably the best-utilized women’s division in the business.
After Trinity & Dani Luna defeated The Coven, Deonna emerged from the back and interrupted her celebration. Deonna made it clear that she wants her contractual rematch for the IMPACT Knockouts World Title at Emergence.
Deonna and Trinity main evented Emergence, and it ended withTrinity hitting the CODE RED and then following it up immediately with the STARSTRUCK submission hold until Deonna taps out.
Her next opponent emerged last week when Alisha Edwards came out victorious in a 10-Knockout Battle Royal. Trinity will defend her IMPACT Knockouts World Title at Victory Road.
Alisha and Trinity will both be part
of a big IMPACT1000 Knockouts Tag Team Match.
