The Young Bucks Were Willing To Compromise With CM Punk If He Lasted 6 Months Without Drama
The Young Bucks had specific parameters in mind if Punk wanted to work with them.
The Young Bucks and CM Punk have had their history with All Out 2022 still remaining fresh in fans minds just a year later.
It has been a tumultuous couple of weeks regarding CM Punk. At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter now reports that The Young Bucks were willing to work with Punk if he could last six months without causing controversy.
According to one person very close to the situation, The Young Bucks had said if six months went by without CM Punk having any issues, they would have been willing to sit down and work with him

A report has been circulating since Punk’s firing, suggesting that The Elite blew off an agreed meeting with Punk. That turned out not to be the case.
