LA Knight be looking to wait a short amount of time before his new WWE contract is finalized.
Knight continues to be booked as a big attraction for WWE, and his feud with The Miz may launch Knight into the main event scene like so many fans have wanted for the Mega Star in the last year or so.
Earlier this year, LA Knight was absent from WrestleMania 39, despite many fans wanting to see Knight added to the card at the last minute.
However, it now looks like he may be a shoe in for the WrestleMania 40 card. That being said, now it has been reported that Knight is negotiating a new 5 year deal with WWE.
Fightful Select have now reported that while the deal is still being negotiated, it is not near closing as of this writing.
It was reported recently that LA Knight and WWE were close to nailing down a new five year contract that would keep him in the company. We’re told that while WWE and LA Knight have been in conversations, WWE sources claim that elements of the story aren’t quite accurate. It is true that Knight and WWE have been engaged in extension talks, and that a five year deal was offered. However, we’re told the two sides were far apart on money as of now, and that no deal has been agreed to, and doesn’t appear imminent, but they’ll keep negotiating. Another WWE higher up said that there isn’t truth to the idea that LA Knight’s push was tied to a new contract, citing that a significant number of wrestlers on the roster have deals coming up next year and are still getting pushes. Knight’s current WWE deal runs well into 2025, and has over a year and a half left on it.

We will have to wait and see when this deal will eventually be completed, but for now Knight will continue to be one of the most over stars in the whole world of professional wrestling.
