Gunther looks forward to the 2024 Royal Rumble match.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther had a record-breaking performance in the 2023 Royal Rumble match, going from bell to bell before being eliminated finally by Cody Rhodes.
Speaking with Wrasslinews at a press junket ahead of WWE Superstar Spectacle, Gunther noted that if he is in the 2024 Royal Rumble match, he will be the favorite to win the entire thing.
“Yeah, I mean, that’s the natural progression from now on, I think. But we will see where it goes. I’m the Intercontinental Champion. I’m not planning on losing the title. We’ll see. Rumble’s in a few months. If I’m in there, I think I’m one of the favorites. That would lead to WrestleMania. We’ll have to see,”
Gunther
Gunther is possibly the most formidable opponent in WWE right now as he has kept a stranglehold on the Intercontinental Championship to the point he is now the longest reigning champion of all time.
