Being in Australia, the timezone difference will upset many US fans.
The company has not been to the country since 2018 for a major event, as Super Showdown went down in Melbourne. The show was a huge success, and now it seems the company have decided 2024 is the time to make their return to the market.
WWE announced that WWE Elimination Chamber will take place on February 24, 2024 from Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia.
According to Dave Meltzer’s report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the show will likely start around 6 a.m. Eastern and 3 a.m. Pacific time on a Saturday morning.
We will have to wait and see if this will be confirmed closer to the date, but it follows WWE’s decision not to have shows at 8PM EST, which was seen as a negative by fans outside the US.
