Blading will reportedly never return to WWE, which may upset some fans.
With the company repping a PG rating for all their television shows, WWE have long had an almost zero tolerance policy to blood and overly sexual storylines. This leaves many wrestling fans nostalgic for the Attitude Era and more.
Ringside News now reports that several matches will never return to WWE, while also noting that blading will also be a thing of the past in WWE.
Ringside News recently discussed this idea with a tenured member of the WWE creative team. We were told that certain matches will not be back, no matter how much fans might love them.
We were told that there are “lots of banned matches” at this point. Fans should never expect to see a bra and panties match happening again. It was also noted that first blood and barbed wire matches are also a thing of the past in WWE.
It was also noted to us that “blading will never return to WWE.” That has been a long-controversial way of bringing “color” to matches in the form of real blood. Now, WWE has a much different philosophy when it comes to that subject.

Of course, there will always be times when wrestlers are opened up the hard way. One just has to look back on WWE Backlash earlier this year, where Brock Lesnar would open himself up off the turnbuckle ring, leading to an incredible amount of blood leaking from The Beast’s head.
