WWE Source Suggests CM Punk Would Return At The Royal Rumble, Not Survivor Series
A WWE source has suggested that a CM Punk return would be at the Royal Rumble, not Survivor Series.
At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.
These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter.
Now, it seems that word of a possible return to WWE is heating up. Earlier today it was reported that Punk was in talks to return to the company. Now, we know even more.
Now, Haus Of Wrestling reports that one source has let them know that Punk is “a safe bet” for Survivor Series 2023, which will take place in Chicago.
Now, PWInsider reports that a WWE source suggested that if CM Punk was coming back to WWE, the Royal Rumble would be a much grander stage.
We will have to wait and see if we will see Punk back on WWE television after so long away from the company.
Recently, Montez Ford noted that he would welcome CM Punk back to WWE.
It was also reported that the final decision for Punk’s return rests with Vince McMahon.
