NJPW are planning to run Mercedes Mone vs Giulia as soon as Mone is ready.
Mercedes Mone is currently on the shelf with an ankle injury that it is still not clear on the extent of the injury. Now, there is an update on what her return plans will be when she is healed up.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the plan is to book Giulia and Mercedes Mone as soon as possible, noting that Mone’s comeback is probably not to far away.
“I think the date of her (Mercedes Monè) comeback probably isn’t so far away. The plan is Giulia & Mercedes for the New Japan Women’s Title as soon as possible.”

Giulia captured the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship by defeating Willow Nightingale at NJPW Independence Day. Mone was scheduled to win the championship months beforehand, but was injured in the title bout and an audible was called to crown Willow as the first NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship.
