Matt Cardona Argues Chelsea Green Is The Best Signing Out Of WWE’s Recent Stretch Of Rehires

Matt Cardona says Chelsea Green is the best re-signing WWE have made in their recent stretch of rehires.

Green, who returned at the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble, is currently one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions along with Piper Niven.

While appearing on the latest episode of Fightful’s The Hump podcast, Cardona was asked about Chelsea Green’s current run in the company.

“She is doing excellent. Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Tag Team Champion. When she was released, she was actually wrestling on the indies. I don’t know what the prerequisite for coming back to WWE was, it felt like the prerequisite was doing nothing, but Chelsea actually worked her ass off and it shows. She’s knocking out of the park right now. I’d argue that from all of those rehires, she’s been the most successful.”

Green has been praised throughout her run this year, as her character has been widely welcomed by many fans.
