Who was behind the attack of Trick Williams?

On Tuesday’s edition of WWE NXT earlier this week, Trick Williams had the opportunity of a lifetime in front of him. Scheduled as a last minute addition to a matchup to determine the number 1 contender for the NXT Championship, Trick was attacked backstage before the match could happen, taking him out of contention for the bout.

In the end, Carmelo Hayes would win the matchup (after being moments too late on the scene of Trick’s attack), earning a shot at Ilja Dragunov for Halloween Havoc. The episode would end without any indication of who was behind the attack, with fans speculating throughout this week who was behind it.

Since Tuesday night’s show, we have been asking around with NXT sources about the attack and if there was any indication on the identity of Trick’s attacker. We were told from multiple sources that WWE are looking to keep the attacker’s identity close to the vest, with very few people in the know about the storyline across the brand.

We will have to wait and see who will be revealed as Trick’s attacker, but Bodyslam.net will report any updates as the news breaks.
