John Cena underwent surgery to repair an arm injury this week.
The nature of the injury is unknown as of this writing, but Cena took to Twitter to thank Dr. Jeff Dugas, who is the lead Orthopaedic Surgeon at Andrew’s Sport Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Cena noted that he still needs to undergo surgery on his other arm. He wrote:
Thank you @JeffDugasMD and your entire team in Birmingham! One arm fixed, clean & headed for therapy … one arm left to go! Thank you again and see you ASAP for the next one!!

Cena fueled speculation on his WWE future earlier this week with a vague Instagram post, which he is known for. This led to speculation on Cena wrapping up his current WWE run due to the end of the Hollywood strike, but it looks like the surgery will put a hold on his in-ring career.
Cena has not wrestled since losing to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel on November 4th.
