Dakota Kai comments on the most recent person who has joined the Damage CTRL faction.
At WWE Crown Jewel 2023, Kairi Sane came from the crowd and attacked Bianca Belair, feeding her to WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY for the victory. After the match, Kairi would celebrate with IYO and they left together.
On Friday’s SmackDown, Kairi stated that she had forgiven Bayley, with Dakota Kai also on hand for the segment. By the end of the program, the faction had added Asuka to their ranks.
Speaking on her Twitch stream, Kai revealed when she found out Kairi Sane was joining Damage CTRL.
“Not that long. Not that long at all. Almost as though we found out the day before. There’s a lot of stuff that we don’t find out until the day of. I was so happy. I met IYO and Kairi almost ten years ago, my first tour of Japan in 2013/2014. It was right when my tour was ending. We hung out and went to dinner. Kairi is a sweetheart. She’s also deadly. You do not want to cross her,”

Kai is currently out of action with an ACL injury, and there is currently no timetable for her return to a WWE ring.
