The former United States Champion will be out of action for at least six weeks.
Mysterio took to social media on Tuesday, revealing that he had undergone successful surgery on his right knee. He also swore revenge on Santos Escobar. This was Rey’s tenth knee surgery.
Per Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling, Rey is set to be out of action for six to eight weeks.
On Friday’s SmackDown, Santos would turn on Mysterio and attacked him, blaming the legendary luchador for the attack.
