Johnny Gargano Is All For A CM Punk Return To WWE If It Brings More Eyes To The Company
Johnny Gargano comments on the possibility of a CM Punk return to WWE.
CM Punk has been rumored to return to WWE since he was fired from AEW following the events backstage at AEW All In, where Punk and Jack Perry would get into a backstage brawl right in front of AEW president Tony Khan.
Since he was fired, the rumors have only gotten louder, despite reports stating that WWE are not interested in bringing Punk in for Survivor Series later this month, which is scheduled for Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
Speaking to Tim on Battleground, Johnny Gargano was asked about Punk possibly being brought back to WWE, noting that he would be all for it if Punk brings more eyes to the company.
“There are so many eyes currently on WWE television. Obviously, every little bit helps. I mentioned how Logan Paul has taken the United States Championship all over the world with him and getting new eyes on the product. At the end of the day, whatever is going to get more eyes on WWE television, that’s the best move possible. Whoever that may be, whoever they bring in, whatever eyes they bring in. I’m all for it,”

Punk has been consistently making jokes referencing the rumors on his social media, most recently posting a clip of himself as the devil from a Hell In A Cell 2012 promo, as well as posting a story with the Survivor Series 2023 official theme song.
We will have to wait and see if Punk will be making his return to the promotion anytime soon.
