AEW/ROH Talent Suffers Concussion Recently
Another day, another AEW injury.
This time, it’s a somewhat-recently signed talent, but he seems to be doing OK.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
Cole Karter suffered an apparent concussion at the 11/22 tapings in Los Angeles. Karter was in a match taped or ROH, teaming with Griff Garrison against Matt Sydal & Christopher Daniels. Sydal did a twisting splash off the top rope and landed on Karter’s face and the back of Karter’s head hit the mat hard. Both referee Paul Turner and Daniels immediately saw something was wrong and instead of continuing, called for Doc Sampson. Turner called for the bell and stopped the match. Karter was down for a long time but was able to walk to the back on his own.
Back in July of 2022, Fightful Select reported that Cole Karter was on a tiered AEW deal.
Karter is currently part of the Ring of Honor brand, and is used frequently for the promotion. Cole’s most recent match was being partnered up with Griff Garrison where the pair lost to the Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson).
Bodyslam staff all hope Karter has no issues moving through the AEW concussion protocols and look forward to his return.
