NJPW Road To TOKYO DOME Results (12/22/2023), Callum Newman Shines Against Tomohiro Ishii
New Japan Pro-Wrestling held it’s Road to TOKYO DOME event on December 22nd at Korakuen Hall in front of a capacity crowd. This was the final NJPW show before Wrestle Kingdom 18 at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th.
The main event of the December 22nd Road to TOKYO DOME show saw the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA team with his Just 5 Guys faction members Taichi & Yuya Uemura as they faced LIJ’s Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji. Yuya Uemura pinned Yota Tsuji with a rolling cradle to win the match for his team.
The match of the night had to go to Tomohiro Ishii vs Callum Newman. Despite losing, Callum Newman proved that he has superstar potential as he took the fight to the more experienced Ishii. Ishii and Newman gave the fans a spectacular match that raised Newman to a new level. He is definitely one to keep your eyes on.
