Carmelo Hayes: Booker T Wants The Best For All Black Talent, He Has Been A Huge Advocate For Helping With My Progress
Carmelo Hayes had nothing but praise to give to the legendary Hall of Famer Booker T.
Booker T has been an exciting voice for WWE NXT, serving as a color commentator alongside Vic Joseph. But he has also been a guiding light for many of the black talent that are part of the brand.
While being asked about Booker T. Carmelo Hayes has said that he feels he has not only the support of Booker but the support of all the black talent that the brand has to offer.
“I feel like every Black wrestler that I’ve met has just shown so much love. Like Booker T, even Big E, just from top to bottom. It’s just like an unspoken camaraderie in a lot of ways. Booker for example, he wants the best for all talent, but Black talent as well. Booker T’s has been a huge advocate for helping with my progress,” Carmelo told Armon Sadler of VIBE in an interview that was done in September.
Hayes has been able to get a good glimpse of the main roster scene, recently competing in the United States Championship tournament for a new number-one contender for Logan Paul. Hayes would go on to defeat Grayson Waller before losing to Kevin Owens this past Friday.
Hayes is still part of NXT, despite his great bond with Trick Williams, both men have been feeling the tension unfold as Williams prepares to challenge the NXT Champion Ilja Dragnunov at New Year’s Evil card on January 2nd.
