TNA iMPACT Results – Nic Nemeth In-Ring Debut, Okada Returns, Knockouts World Title Match + More — January 25, 2024
Brand new “Cross the Line!” Intro.
-Chris Bey (w/Ace Austin) vs Kevin Knight
Chris Bey wins with to Art of Finnesse.
Post match, the Grizzled Young Veterans interrupt the celebration and lay out bout Ace and Bey in the ring, standing tall over them and holding the TNA Tag Team Titles
Immediately following the beatdown, we get a video hyping TNA’s newest Knockout, Ash By Elegance.
We get a video recap of Frankie Kazarian and Eric Young getting beaten by the Grizzled Young Veterans next week, followed by Kazarian beating down Eric Young post match.
We go backstage to Kazarian saying that he will explain his actions next week. Kaz is approached by Rich Swann, who wants to know what’s going on with him. Kaz says he can sit by the monitor backstage and watch just like everybody else, but that he’s taking control of his career and maybe Swann should do the same.
Kazarian walks away and AJ Francis walks up to Rich Swann. Francis says after what Joe Hendry did to DJ Whoo Kid that he’s going to be in Swann’s corner next week for his match against Hendry.
–Oleg Prudius/Dirty Dango vs two local talent
Oleg beats the crap out of both men. Dango scores the pinfall.
The Grizzled Young Veterans are backstage talking about how they came to TNA to capture the Tag Team Titles, and they don’t wait in line. They pointed out that they never got pinned in the match. Director of Authority Santino Marella interrupted them and says that’s not how this works – they don’t walk in and get a title shot in their first match.
ABC run up on them but are held back by security. Marella steps into the middle of both teams and says there will be a best of 3 series for the Tag Team Titles starting next week. The first team to win two matches are the champions.
We go backstage to Gia Miller who’s standing by with the Motor City Machine Guns and Kazuchika Okada. Alex Shelley says the Motor City Machine Guns are the standard of TNA, not The System.
Knockouts World Title
-Jordynne Grace (c) vs Trinity
After a series of failed roll up pins on both sides, Grace finally holds Trinity’s legs back far enough that she can’t kick out and secures the victory.
Post-match, Gisele Shaw and her entourage are out and assault both women in the ring. Gisele Shaw knocks both women out cold with her X from the Ultimate X victory.
Backstage, The System says they’re the standard and they’re going to take out a Japanese legend tonight. Moose says the formula works, you just have to trust The System.
Josh Alexander is backstage talking how he he’s had a good few weeks. First he beat Hammerstone at Hard To Kill, and then last week he beat Will Ospreay, so he starts talking about what’s next for him. Alan Angels interrupts Josh and says he wants him to be the first guest on his new talk show, Sound Check.
Josh says he’s too busy at first, but Angels says he wants somebody help him while he’s coming up, and Josh is the face of the company. Josh reluctantly agrees.
-Nic Nemeth vs Zachary Wentz
Nemeth wins the DANGER ZONE.
Post-match, Trey Miguel goes after Nemeth but gets his with a Danger Zone as well. Nemeth is attacked by Steve Maclin. Nemeth spins out of a KIA and hits Maclin with Danger Zone.
We get a video of Crazzy Steve talking about his Victory over Tommy Dreamer and says he doesn’t need to take advice from anybody. Rhino walks up and says maybe he should teach him a lesson whether he wants it or not.
We get a video of Rosemary and Havok talking about how they had to bring themselves back from the Courtney and Jessicka characters to take back the Knockouts roster because their counter parts didn’t have what it took.
-MK Ultra vs Dani Luna/Jody Threat
MK Ultra wins when they hit a double team move on Jody Threat, dropping her on her head and gaining the pinfall. Both women
also attack Dani Luna after the match is over.
-MCMG/Kazuchika Okada vs The System
Kazuchika Okada returns to TNA for the first time in over a decade.
The Motor City Machine Guns & Kazuchika Okada win when Okada nails Brian Myers with the RAINMAKER and then Alex Shelley follows it up with SHELLSHOCK and gains the pinfall.
We get a hype video for top free agent, Mustafa Ali cling to TNA to close out the show.
After the show ends, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin hype up Okada and the crowd. Some of the TNA talent come out to the ring. Okada says he doesn’t hate TNA and thanks the company and the crowd.
