Will WWE Book A Major Title Change At Crown Jewel To Distract From All The Negative Publicity Event Has Received?
As we have been reporting, WWE is going on with Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as planned.
On the card is a WWE Championship Match that will see Daniel Bryan challenge AJ Styles for the title. Bryan won the opportunity to face Styles at Crown Jewel after defeating The Miz in a quick match at Super Show-Down.
With all of the controversy surrounding WWE for holding Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, there is a possibility that the company might do something to distract everyone from the negative attention the event as received by having a major title change on the card.
On the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed a potential way that WWE might book Crown Jewel which could distract the negative press the event has been receiving.
“They may go in there and say, ‘Let’s put the title on Bryan because we need to do something to make people happy and distract them from whatever the Hell the rest of the aspects of that show. I think there’s probably a mentality there that would be like, ‘Well, if we give them a Daniel Bryan win maybe they’ll be happy and they won’t complain that we did this show.’ Who knows? Who knows about their booking.”
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding possible Crown Jewel booking decisions or rumors about a potential title change if it becomes available.
