Roderick Strong Says His Favorite Parts Of His Career Have Been With Adam Cole
Roderick Strong holds Adam Cole highly in his career.
Before being revealed as the Devil. Adam Cole was side by side with MJF, the former AEW World Champion who at one point was the ROH Tag Team Champion alongside Cole. That was until Cole suffered an ankle injury that forced him to vacate his half of the gold, but he still stuck around to be supportive of MJF.
All of that came crumbling down at World’s End when following Samoa Joe’s victory over MJF, it was revealed that the Devil and his goons (Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, and Wardlow) were causing so much mistrust for MJF were none other than his own best friend, Adam Cole (BayBay).
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Strong would get asked how it felt to see things play out to get rid of MJF.
“I loved it. Obviously, that whole situation was so big for my career. The opportunity to not have to wrestle my way to get people’s attention the whole time, that was fantastic. To be able to work with Adam, that’s my dude. My favorite parts of my career are with him. Out of it, to create an opportunity for Matt and Mike and Wardlow, that’s super cool. Matt and Mike really haven’t had an opportunity to do anything like that or get that kind of attention on that kind of level. There was so much good that came from it and it’s one of those things that I feel was very necessary for my career and all the guys involved, and I think this next year is going to shape up to be the best one,” he said.
Since the betrayal. MJF has not been on AEW TV at all. Strong is currently set to compete at AEW Revolution where he looks to capture the AEW International Championship from Orange Cassidy.
