Mercedes Mone: The Women Here Laid The Foundation, They’re The Reason I Want To Be In AEW, This Is A Global Revolution

Mercedes Mone is prepared to make magic happen.

The big tease at AEW Big Business presented us with the arrival of Mercedes Mone in All Elite Wrestling. One of the biggest free agents in the world had reportedly fallen out of talks with the WWE before she signed with AEW shortly after.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated. Mone talked about wanting to take AEW to the top of the mountain with her.

“I want to be here, I need to be here, and it’s because of the women’s division,” Mone told said. “The women here laid the foundation. They’re the reason I want to be in AEW. We’re going to make so much magic here.
“This is a global revolution. That’s why I’m here. You don’t think I can take this around the globe? Well then, let me show you I can. My heart is here. My dreams are here. I love wrestling. I’m a leader, and I’m going to lead.”

Mone opened the show by herself and closed it saving Willow Nightingale from an attack by Julia Hart.
