FOX Reportedly Given The Rock’s Script Before WWE SmackDown to Schedule Bleeps
WWE is reportedly in cahoots with FOX ahead of time when it comes to The Rock’s promos.
According to WON’s Dave Meltzer, WWE has given FOX The Rock’s scripts ahead of time in order to bleep and mute his words should they be deemed inappropriate by the network.
“The deal with the TV, what they (WWE) have to do is, FOX gets the (Rock’s) script ahead of time so they know when to bleep. Because the whole thing, the Rock’s promo, obviously it’s completely scripted. But if it was anyone else, they would just be not allowed to say it, but with The Rock, it’s like, he can say whatever he wants, but they know what he’s gonna say and when he’s gonna say it, so anything they wanna bleep out, they will bleep out. And they know when to bleep it out because they’re told ahead of time. So that’s kind of the gist of the promo and why certain things were bleeped out and everything like that, and they didn’t miss on anything.”

The Rock brought back his infamous concert for this past Friday’s night episode of ‘WWE SmackDown.’ Several mutes and bleeps were put in place throughout the future Hall of Famer’s promo this past Friday night in Memphis, Tennessee, which included a reference to Memphis Grizzlies star, Ja Morant being suspended in the past for flashing a gun in videos.
BodySlam will provide any updates on the situation with The Rock being muted by either WWE or networks as they become available.
