It was first reported back in July by the Wrestling Observer that WWE had shown interest in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling tag team War Machine once their contracts with the two companies expired.
It should be pointed out that at this weekend’s set of ROH TV tapings following Friday Night’s Final Battle 2017 PPV, that War Machine hinted to a possible farewell to the Ring of Honor crowd by bowing and thanking the fans in attendance following their match against Shaheem Ali & LSG. This has led many to speculate that the tag team may be finished with ROH, which could indicate that the former ROH World Tag Team and 2x IWGP Tag Team Champions might soon be headed to WWE.
