Ivar Indefinitely Out Of Action After Backstage WWE NXT Assault
Following a recent attack by the returning trio Gallus, Ivar was among several wrestlers laid out at the end of this week’s NXT. Ivar’s chance for revenge appears to be on hold because he is now out of action.
WWE announced that Ivar sustained an injury from the backstage attack. He will be “out of action indefinitely.” Along with Ivar, Gallus also targeted Wes Lee and Josh Briggs. These three were scheduled to compete in a triple-threat match next week to determine the number one contender for Oba Femi’s NXT North American Championship.
Ivar’s status for the upcoming triple-threat match remains uncertain. However, WWE has removed him from the ongoing Speed Tournament. This tournament aims to name a number one contender to face current Speed Champion Ricochet.
The company announced on social media that Apollo Crews will replace Ivar in the tournament. Crews is set to face Tyler Bate in the semi-finals.
