Willow Nightingale Shares Mixed Emotions After Defeating Tam Nakano

Willow Nightingale has emerged as a sensational breakout star in AEW, captivating fans with her charisma and athleticism. As the current AEW TBS Women’s Champion, she is set to defend her title against Mercedes Mone at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas. Recently, she shared her reaction to successfully retaining her TBS Championship at STARDOM.

At STARDOM Flashing Champions 2024 on May 18th, Willow Nightingale put her AEW TBS Championship on the line in a thrilling match against STARDOM’s Tam Nakano. The encounter was fiercely contested, but Willow triumphed, securing her championship once again.

After the match, during a backstage interview, Willow reflected on her hard-fought victory and expressed a mix of pride and empathy towards her opponent:

“Woo, nelly! Now this is technically not my debut for STARDOM. This is my second STARDOM show, but my very first here in Japan, in Yokohama. I’m gonna be calling first time wrestling in this venue, first time wrestling Tam Nakano. My God, my God, did STARDOM send me their absolute best? Woo! Tam, I can see exactly why you have a very decorated past. I can see why people love you and absolutely adore you, and a piece of me did feel a little bit bad smashing you in your very cute face and dropping you on your very cute head. But this right here, this is the AEW TBS championship. I came here to show you what the AEW TBS champion is all about. So you really brought a fight for me. Like, my goodness, I am sweating. I am pulsing. Oh, my goodness. But I’m still a winner. So, Tam, maybe this isn’t the end of the line for us. Who knows, really, in this crazy wrestling business. But today, Willow Nightingale was the better woman. Woo!”

Looking ahead, the 2024 AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event will take place on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. This event will mark the sixth annual Double or Nothing, and promises to be an electrifying night with Willow Nightingale defending her title once again.
