Darby Allin Shows Off Mangled Face After AEW Double or Nothing Anarchy in the Arena Match
During the main event of AEW Double or Nothing, Darby Allin participated in the Anarchy in the Arena match. Team AEW immediately attacked The Elite, and Allin made his entrance with his music playing. Matt Jackson demanded the music be cut, replacing it with The Young Bucks’ theme. Danielson then had the production team play “The Final Countdown.”
Allin hit a Coffin Drop onto a pile of bodies in the crowd. Okada did his trademark crossbody onto Danielson, and Darby gave Jack Perry an ice bath near the parking garage, where Perry hit Darby with a pipe.
Jack Perry drove a bus into a pile, and commentators wondered if Darby was run over. Perry was knocked out in the crash, while FTR hit a spike piledriver on Nicholas Jackson on the ring apron. Okada placed Cash Wheeler on a table at the top of the ramp, and Nicholas hit a senton through the table.
Perry grabbed Tony Khan from the backstage area, and Darby returned with a flamethrower, setting Perry on fire before The Young Bucks used a fire extinguisher. Okada then grabbed an arm sleeve with thumbtacks and hit the Rainmaker on Cash Wheeler. Darby, hung above the ring, was superkicked with thumbtack-laced sneakers.
The match concluded with Jack Perry scoring the pin on Bryan Danielson. Everyone involved gave their all, and took a ton of punishment.
The next day, Darby Allin took to Twitter/X to drop a photo of his banged-up face with the caption: “Morning after anarchy’s thumbtacks to the face.”
Darby took a ton of punishment, including getting hit by another bus. This shows his dedication to pro wrestling, even if he’s feeling it the next morning.
