Shelton Benjamin Says That NJPW Is Still His Favorite Company To Work For Outside Of WWE

Shelton Benjamin wouldn’t mind another NJPW run.

After being released last September, Shelton Benjamin has used his free agency run to weigh his options and enjoy doing what he does in the ring for any promotion that can land the Gold Standard. The former Intercontinental Champion has stated that he is more than willing to listen to top promoters.

During an interview with The Daily Star, Benjamin noted that despite all the companies he has worked for, his favorite one outside of the WWE is New Japan Pro Wrestling, you can read the full quote below.

“I’m always open to working with any of those companies. At this point, it’s a business aspect of to me, and that’s how I approach it. I’d love to work in AEW. I’d love work in IMPACT. I don’t put a limit on where I’m going. I’m open to all of these places. New Japan is still my favorite company outside of WWE, and I say WWE because I have so many friends still there. I’m open to anything and everywhere,” Benjamin said.

There is no word yet on whether any top promotion has made a bid for Benjamin, we will keep you updated on any news we hear about Benjamin’s free agent status.
