Mercedes Mone: I’m One Hundred Percent The Greatest Women’s Wrestler Of All Time
Mercedes Mone knows her worth and who she is.
Mone made her in-ring debut at AEW Double or Nothing where she reignited her rivalry with Willow Nightingale, this time for the AEW TBS Championship, it marked the first match for Mone in over a year after suffering an ankle injury against Nightingale at New Japan’s Resurgence in 2023.
During an interview with Cameron Hawkins of The Ringer, Mone stated that she is the greatest women’s wrestler of all time and is ready to show fans all over the world why.
“They haven’t really got to see the CEO. They know who Sasha Banks is, but the CEO, Mercedes Moné, [is] something they’ve never seen before, and I’m ready to show them. I’m the greatest women’s wrestler of all time, 100 percent,” she said.
Speaking about the match, Mone said, “I don’t want to put pressure on myself, because I’ve been doing this for 14 years. I have more excitement than pressure, but I am really nervous as well, just because it’s been a year since I performed, but being in the ring with someone like Willow Nightingale, I know it’s going to be absolutely everything I’ve ever dreamed of. We’re going to go out there and steal the show.”
Mone would defeat Nightingale at Double or Nothing to become the new TBS Champion.
