Drew McIntyre with another CM Punk reference.
Drew McIntyre believed he was done with CM Punk. He took out the former WWE Champion in his hometown with a brutal attack on July 21 before getting back on track in hopes of becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion against either Seth Rollins or Damian Priest at Money in the Bank.
This is what McIntyre said leading up to the event where he would go on to win the Money in the Bank match for the first time in his career.
“In that ring, on the microphone, except looking like a damn superstar the whole time, the real best in the world,” McIntyre said.
McIntyre’s cash-in would turn the match into a triple threat before interference from CM Punk resulted in McIntyre being pinned by Priest for the third time this year for the WWE World Heavyweight title.
