The Ace is back.
The Ace of the Universe will make a return to the United States as NJPW announced Hiroshi Tanahashi will appear at their STRONG Capital Collision show in late August.
Capital Collision will be NJPW’s first show after their annual G1 Climax round robin concludes on August 18 and their first show back in the United States after FantasticaMania U.S. took place in early July in San Jose, California.
Tanahashi, one-third of the current NEVER Openweight Six Man champions with Oleg Boltin & Toru Yano, previously appeared on the first released poster for the show, but the announcement by NJPW’s Global twitter account makes it official that the Ace will appear on the show for the third consecutive year. The capacity of his appearance and anyone else’s is currently unclear, but Tanahashi is likely to be well-rested and lively for the show as he misses the G1 Climax for the first time in over two decades.
