Dustin Rhodes Confirms His AEW Contract Expires In September, Hopeful That Negotiations Go Well And That He Can Retire On His Own Terms
“The Natural” Dustin Rhodes doesn’t plan on going anywhere.
AEW Star Dustin Rhodes has confirmed that his contract is set to expire in September, however The Natural says he is not done yet. Rhodes responded to a twitter user who speculated that he was expected to leave AEW when his contract runs up later this year.
Rhodes stated that his contract is indeed up in September, but he is not done wrestling. He added that he is having the best matches of his career, and that he hopes to retire on his own terms. Rhodes is hopeful that contract negotiations will go well, and he will finish up his career when he is ready and how he envisions his retirement.
“Wrong! Jeeze guys, do better. Yes my contract is up in September, and No, I am absolutely NOT DONE. Having the best matches of my life and hopefully, God willing I will get to retire on my own terms, respected with a full heart. Hopefully Negotiations go well because I am damn worth the world.
The only things that matter to me are: taking care of my family first and foremost, and finishing up when I am ready, and how I envision my retirement.
So hold off guys, This biz is my life and I love doing it for you, while still having fun and able. #KeepSteppin and thank you all for your continued love and support!”
