Anna Jay will enter the annual 5STAR Grand Prix.
Early on 7/27, during night one of a two-night “Wonder Rendezvous” event held by STARDOM, the promotion announced the mystery participants of two blocks of their annual round robin tournament. Alongside Risa Sera being announced for the “Blue Stars” B Block, AEW star Anna Jay was announced for the “Blue Stars” B Block.
Anna will participate in the same block as STARDOM talents Saori Anou, Syuri, Starlight Kid, Xena, and Koguma. This is not Jay’s first interaction with STARDOM talent as she was the inaugural opponent for Mina Shirakawa’s appearances in Ring of Honor and All Elite Wrestling. Anna’s last appearance in either promotion was the 6/26 episode of AEW Dynamite where she tagged with Harley Cameron and Saraya of the Outcasts to face Mina Shirakawa, Mariah May, and AEW Women’s World champion Toni Storm.
This addition falls in line with a number of collaborative efforts by AEW and STARDOM with a partnership between the two companies forming in early 2024 after a change in regime in the joshi puroresu promotion.
