WWE US Champion/Transphobe Logan Paul Can’t Tell a Man From a Woman, Offers Opinion Anyway

It’s been said that it’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Perhaps that’s a lesson current U.S. Champion Logan Paul needs to learn, because he recently offered said opinion about an Olympics boxing match and, well, he removed all doubt.
Imane Khelif, a professional boxer, defeated her opponent, Angela Carini, during a match at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. Carini, from Italy, quit the fight after just 46 seconds, which saw Khelif emerge with the victory.
And this made people furious! The reason? Because Khelif, a biological woman, had higher levels of testosterone before a 2023 world championship fight, and was disqualified. Never mind the fact that the “unspecified gender eligibility test” happened in 2023 and had nothing to do with this fight. Never mind the fact that the organization who offered the test, the IBA, has been banned from the Olympics since 2019. Never mind the fact that women produce testosterone, just like men produce estrogen. Never mind that Logan Paul just doesn’t understand the female body. He had a point to make. Even if it was wrong.
Naturally, because people would rather shout their opinion on Twitter than do actual research, this led to several people, including U.S. Champion Logan Paul and famed Harry Potter writer/noted transphobe J.K. Rowling, taking to the internet to offer their ignorance for the world to see.
Paul, who is scheduled to face LA Knight at Summerslam on Saturday, tweeted this:
Paul tweeted this, despite the fact that Khelif, an Algerian fighter, is a cisgender woman. In fact, in her home country, it’s actually illegal to be LGBTQ+, meaning that they probably wouldn’t send Khelif to be a representative and ambassador of the country on the biggest stage in the world if she were, actually a trans woman.
Still, Paul claimed this was “the purest form of evil,” conveniently choosing not to comment on the actual evil taking place in Paris — that being the fact that a convicted child rapist also competed at the 2024 Olympics.
That wasn’t enough of a scandal for Logan Paul to comment on, but he certainly wanted to make his (wrong) opinion known about this boxing match.
Khelif’s opponent stated that she was “not here to judge or pass judgment. If an athlete is this way, and in that sense it’s not right or it is right, it’s not up to me to decide. I just did my job as a boxer. I got into the ring and fought. I did it with my head held high and with a broken heart for not having finished the last kilometer.”
Mark Adams, a spokesperson for the International Olympic Committee, said of Khelif that “Everyone competing in the women’s category is complying with the competition eligibility rules. They are women in their passports and it’s stated that this is the case, that they are female. These athletes have competed many times before for many years. They haven’t just suddenly arrived.”
In short, Logan Paul once again put his foot in his mouth and instead of taking a minute, just one minute, to think, or do a little research, or even just ask himself ‘is this a productive thing to say?’ he instead chose, as he usually does, to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Paul is an incredible athlete. He’s a phenomenal entrepreneur. But is he a good human being? Well. That delusion must end.
