A familiar face is gearing up to grace the AEW television screens once again.

Fans of professional wrestling will be delighted to hear that “Switchblade” Jay White, a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, is poised to make a comeback after an absence of over a month due to a foot injury. The injury had necessitated the Bang Bang Gang to relinquish their trios championships. The last time fans saw Jay White in action was on July 6, where he faced off against Hangman Page in a hard-fought contest during the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, ultimately ending in defeat. Notably, the Bang Bang Gang’s most recent defense of their unified Trios Titles occurred at the high-profile AEW Double or Nothing event.


Jay White, the enigmatic “Switchblade,” has left an indelible mark on the wrestling world with his illustrious career in NJPW and his promising ventures in AEW, marked by a plethora of championship triumphs.

In NJPW, Jay White’s championship pedigree extends beyond his IWGP Heavyweight Championship reign. The skilled competitor also captured the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship and the NEVER Openweight Championship, showcasing his versatility and ability to excel across various divisions within the promotion. White’s tenure in NJPW was defined by his memorable rivalries, captivating performances, and championship successes, solidifying his status as a top-tier talent in the revered promotion.

Transitioning to AEW in 2023, Jay White made an immediate impact by winning the Trios championships alongside his Bang Bang Gang partners. The unified Trios Titles were held by White, Austing Gunn and Colten Gunn, forming a formidable trio that dominated the competition and added another accolade to White’s already impressive championship resume, same trio also won the ROH World Trios Championships.
