After Retiring From Wrestling, Cody Rhodes Plans To Gain Up To 100 Pounds

After retiring his American Nightmare persona, Cody Rhodes envisions embracing the American Dream lifestyle.

As the reigning WWE Champion and a top star in WWE, Rhodes maintains peak physical condition through consistent workouts since his youth. However, post-wrestling, he looks forward to prioritizing enjoyment in life over appearance, openly expressing his intention to potentially gain up to 100 pounds after retirement.

In a candid conversation with Bianca Belair on his “What Do You Wanna Talk About?” series on YouTube, Cody Rhodes shared his vision for his post-retirement physique, aiming to gain between 75 to 100 pounds. Reflecting on his lifelong dedication to fitness from a young age, Rhodes expressed his desire to embrace a more relaxed lifestyle in his 60s, envisioning a laid-back look complete with a Tommy Bahama shirt and khaki shorts.

Despite his plans for a weight gain post-retirement, Rhodes emphasized his commitment to maintaining agility and executing his signature moves during future appearances as a WWE legend, drawing inspiration from legends like Adrian Adonis who showcased remarkable agility despite their size. As he looks ahead to potential appearances on Legends SmackDown down the line, Rhodes is determined to stay in top form to continue thrilling fans with his in-ring prowess.

While Rhodes is currently thriving at the pinnacle of WWE, he looks forward to indulging in life’s pleasures post-retirement, much like wrestling icon Edge did upon his initial retirement in 2011. Coming from a wrestling dynasty known for their resilience and adaptability, Rhodes is poised to navigate his post-wrestling journey with the same grace and determination that has defined his career. In praising WWE’s treatment of legends under the current regime, Rhodes highlighted the respect and camaraderie that continues to thrive within the wrestling community, exemplified by his recent reunion with Arn Anderson at WWE SummerSlam 2024.
